Welcome to Hope Over Fears.

I wonder what brought you to this site? Are you struggling with persistent and intense feelings such as sadness, anxiety, anger, panic, low self-esteem? Maybe your problem is that you can’t feel, that there is a sense of numbness and disconnection. Perhaps life has thrown something at you which feels unbearable, a bereavement,  the loss of a close relationship, or divorce. Maybe, all that you counted on for your stability, has simply dissolved away.

You’ve come to the right place.

Brief counselling for specific problems and longer-term psychotherapy for more complex difficulties can offer you a way to a better, more satisfying and fulfilled life. Not that it’s an easy process for most people. It starts with a careful assessment of what the difficulties are, enough time and space to establish where you are now and to discuss the most appropriate course of therapy for those difficulties in your individual case. Everyone is different, two people with depression may respond better to different therapies, even when their symptoms may be very similar.

My overarching aim is to decrease emotional suffering and to help you find a way through to a more fulfilled and balanced experience of yourself and your life.

I am a friendly, experienced counsellor who uses evidence-based therapies tailored to your individual needs. Clinics in Brighton and Heathfield, East Sussex and Online via Zoom or Skype.
